The nurseries have written policies and procedures in accordance with the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage 2012. These encompass the requirements and legal responsibilities with regard to:

  • Learning & Development
  • Safeguarding & Welfare Requirements
  • Assessment

Equality of Opportunity

Squirrels is committed to providing equality of opportunity for all children and families. This means we value and respect the richness and diversity within our communities.

Complaints procedure

The nurseries aim to work closely with parents and we have a policy that if you have any concerns about your child, you will raise them with the child’s Key Person, Jo Kavakeb or Clare Beckham. If you are not sure who to approach first, then please ask at the nursery office. We find that nearly all concerns or potential complaints can be resolved happily through discussion and mutual understanding.

We do have arrangements for considering formal complaints. You can obtain a copy of these from the nursery office. Ofsted will be informed of all formal complaints within 28 days.

Should you feel that your complaint has not been resolved to your satisfaction, you may take it to Ofsted, the organisation that registers and inspects the nursery. Ofsted details can be found within this prospectus.
